Overview

Nepal is popularly known as the land of the Himalayas. Loaded with eight of the world’s highest peaks, Nepal is rich in natural resources. Hundreds of travelers visit Nepal to climb the world’s tallest mountain, Mount Everest, or just the Everest Region to experience Mt. Everest from the nearest point of view. One of the famous trekking destinations in the Everest Region is Cho La Pass Trek, which lies 5,420 m above sea level. The Cho La Pass trek is also known as the Everest Circuit Trek, and it is the homeland of the Sherpas. Trekkers come across a wide range of cultures laced with wild adventure on their way. The magnificent sight of the mountain vistas along with the patches of birch and rhododendron forest is astonishing.

The trek to Cho La Pass passes through the views of almost every popular trail that the Everest Region consists of. This spirited journey is continuously rewarded with vivid Himalayan scenes, including four of the world’s eight highest peaks: Cho Oyu (8201m), Makalu (8463m), Lhotse (8516 m), and Everest (8850m). The visitors get an amazing view of Everest Base Camp along with renowned regions like Namche Bazaar, Lukla, Tengboche, and most of the Khumbu district, whose beauty is remarkable. The scenery is stunning throughout the journey, but hiking beside the enchanting Dudh Koshi River into the capital of Khumbu, Namche, is an experience of a lifetime. Stumbling towards the Gokyo valley with the view of the grand Ngozumpa glacier, the biggest glacier in Nepal, visitors experience the serenity of nature. The tranquil monasteries, wonderful lushness of greenery, and mesmerizing waterfalls along the way will give trekkers a feeling of excitement they’ve never felt before.
