Situated in the Myagdi District, west of the Annapurna range, this trek, also known as Dhaulagiri Round Trek, presents itself as Nepal's most challenging yet stunningly beautiful off-the-beaten-path adventure.

Embarking on a 20-day expedition, the trek initiates with your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, followed by a scenic flight to Pokhara and a drive to Darbang, marking the beginning of your trekking odyssey towards Dharapani.

Throughout the journey, you'll traverse varied terrains, from hilly landscapes to snow-covered glaciers, dense forests, and verdant meadows. Major highlights include crossing two high passes, namely French Pass and Dhampus Pass, and visiting three awe-inspiring base camps: Italian Base Camp, Glacier Base Camp, and Dhaulagiri Base Camp.

Amidst picturesque settlements like Takam, Sibang, and Mudi, you'll arrive at Italian Base Camp, where a day's rest allows you to soak in the panoramic vistas of meadows and hanging glaciers before proceeding to Glacier and Dhaulagiri Base Camps.

Ensuring proper acclimatization, the itinerary includes ample rest days before tackling the challenging passes. Crossing French Pass leads you to the serene Hidden Valley, followed by a trek to Alu Bari via Dhampus Pass, rewarding you with unparalleled views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges.

Beyond the physical challenges, the trek offers an immersion into the rural lifestyle and rich cultural heritage of the region. Descending to Jomsom via Marpha, you'll conclude the trek with a scenic flight to Pokhara, savoring the final glimpses of the majestic Annapurna region before returning to Kathmandu for a day of cultural exploration.
