OVERVIEW

Thousands of globetrotters visit Nepal to witness the magnificent sight of the beautiful Himalayas every year. Among those Himalayas, Annapurna Base Camp is the most prominent trekking site for tourists in Nepal. Standing at a height of 8091 m, Mt. Annapurna has been ranked as the world’s 10th highest mountain. Correspondingly, situated along the foothills of the great Himalayan range in the northern part of Nepal, Annapurna Base Camp lies at 4130 m (13546 ft) above sea level.

As the journey starts from the foothills of the mountain range, the travelers get to experience diverse landscaped vistas, spectacular mountain views, lush greenery and cultivated fields, a wide range of flora and fauna, grand spectacles of blooming Rhododendrons, which is the national flower of Nepal, and quaint Gurung and Magar villages, who will not miss a single chance to amaze you with their hospitality. The experience of the unique beauty of Annapurna Base Camp, with its blend of culture and breath-taking sights, is something that will enlighten every part of the traveler seeking serenity and peace. Annapurna Base Camp is favorable to travelers every month of the year. However, the best month to witness a clear and magical view of the wild flowers while they are in full bloom is from March to June. September to November are the best months to experience the fresh breeze under the clear blue sky, uplifting the energy of the trekker to full swing. Monsoon months are not highly recommended, as the mountains can be covered in low clouds sometimes. Nevertheless, trekkers who seek fewer crowds can still visit in the wet months and enjoy the greenery alongside the trails, which also includes wild flowers.

The sheer scale of the Himalayas can be quite intimidating, especially for those who haven’t had any experience in the trekking world. But the perks of trekking in the Annapurna Base Camp are that it is very moderate and does not demand any advanced physical fitness levels. Witness the majestic view of the snow-clad mountains and discover your propensity and love for nature.
