Overview

The smell of the real earth surrounded by greenery and the wetness of the soil, tempting your senses and testing your impulse for adventure with every drop of sweat, is something every trekker craves for. The journey towards the Everest High Passes is slightly different from the usual treks, which do not require any additional climbing techniques. The Everest High Pass Trek is for the most determined and passionate climbers, as it includes climbing up the topmost mountains, which are all higher than 5000 m in height. For this trek, the tourists need to be physically fit, and previous trekking experience is mandatory.

The 20-day trip requires only 17 days of trekking. The main and most challenging fascination of the trek are the three passes: Renjo La Pass (5338m), Chola La Pass (5368m), and Kongma La Pass (5535m). There are other tourist attractions as well, which include Gokyo Ri (5357m), Fifth Lake, Everest Base Camp (5500 m), and Kalapattar (5643m). Every hard work must pay off; therefore, every step taken towards the mountain is all worth it when the travelers come across dramatic mountain vistas, colorful festivals, and peaceful monasteries with the opportunity to engage with the remarkable Sherpa communities. The rocky landscapes of the high passes are filled with the "Sherpas," who are outstanding with their culture and hospitality. The monasteries give you a sense of spirituality, which helps awaken your mind and soul. If the travelers are fortunate enough, they get a chance to witness the occasional sightseeing of unusual wildlife such as Himalayan Thar, pheasants, musk deer, snow cocks, and snow leopards. There are locals who even claim that the well-known yeti is sometimes seen someplace in the Khumbu.

The travelers take away the memories that last with them for a lifetime as well as a clear insight into the lifestyle of the mountain people and their astonishing culture.
